Product Description Eureka Hand-Held Vacuum Cleaner - Eureka 71B
Amazon.com Review Hand-held but very powerful, this Eureka model eliminates the hassle of lugging around a full-size vacuum for cleaning car upholstery, sofas, and carpeted stairs. A long 20-foot cord (which wraps for storage) provides good reach, as does the deluxe hose that stretches to three times its length. With the crevice tool on the end of the hose, this vacuum reaches into all kinds of tight places. And, with two motors, one to power the revolving brush and one for suction, the 5.5 amp vacuum cleans deeply. One of Eureka's innovations is the Riser Visor, a clear plastic cover that stays down for cleaning horizontal surfaces and flips up so the revolving brush can reach the vertical carpet on stair risers. There's no bag to change, just a filter and clear plastic dust cup to shake out when necessary. --Ann Bieri

It beats every hand-held vac I've ever owned September 4, 2010 Jerry Warriner (United States) During the last ten years I've owned at least a half-dozen cordless vacs. When my last one died, I searched for another one. Then I had an epiphany. Why buy a hand-held vacuum that always runs out of power just when I need it most? And why bother buying a product that has a relatively short life and needs to be discarded because the batteries become resistant to recharging? After reading the reviews about the 71B, I was sold. Now, after two months, it's more than proved its worth. With a long cord, a built-in crevice tool, a brush that can be turned on and off on the handle, and fine suction, it's one of the most utilitarian electrical products I own. I recommend buying the Eureka Quick Up Washable & Reusable Filter; Compare to Eureka Part #39657.
DECENT VAC FOR THE MONEY September 3, 2010 George C. J. Fleck II (Devon, Pa.) Bought this vacuum about 5 months ago and only use it to clean my one room. Pros: 1. Good suction 2, Revolving brush head gets my dog's hair up. Cons: 1. Filter is EXTREMELY difficult to clean 2. Cord storage area is not deep enough., Wrapped cord falls off and unwinds a lot. 3. Crevice tool falls out of storage space easily. 4. The hose is too short to reach all the way under bureau, chest of drawers, bed, etc.

on and off button August 31, 2010 J. Chu (New Jersey) I like this vacuum very much, but I could not find an on/off button for this little machine. Please tell me if yours have an on/off buttoon. thanks.
Works great for pet hair in the car August 30, 2010 Yugioh We have a dog which sheads all over the car, This vacumm picks up most of the hair with a couple of passes. Pros - Deep Cleaning Brush, Detatable hose, compact design. Cons - Dusty Air is directed back at the operator. Filter clogs quickly. Not Cordless Overall 4/5.
